CHOREOGRAPHY
Utilizing a sense of embodiment within their dancers that is raw, honest, and dynamic.
BEEF
Beef is a continuous process of research and expression exploring a vocabulary found through archityple American western caricatures. The work investigates the human relationship between nature, self and the the lines we walk between masculinity and femininity in relation to societies limited and polarizing expectations of Gender.
Home Again
Home Again offers a window into personal growth as human that we get to define for ourselves in real time. It is the work, the good, the bad and the beauty. A millennial ride to self discovery. LOL, JK, but for REAL!!!
RELATIONS
The movement vocabulary in this film was inspired by landscapes and the inevitable change it and we as humans must face and endure. The simplicity of the choreography is an invitation for the viewer to take the ride while encouraging a sense of safety and inclusion.
Lines, Circles & Spells
A concert dance piece created on the students at Los Angeles Valley College. The Piece Explores the constructs we create ourselves, the expectations other place on us and the spells we must cast to free ourselves.
GROWING MOUNTAINS
The mountains have a quality that catalyze a sense of insignificance in my soul that paradoxically feeds a very specific self reflection creating what I believe to be a more aware person. The choreography in this peice attempts to convey the need to support one another, show up for each other, collaborate, build strong relationships, but most importantly share kindness and empathy.
THE STARS IN YOUR EYES
A multi disciplinary, collaborative project that plays with the relationships between the whimsical quality of youth and the juxtaposing expectations of what it means to become a self aware adult. The movement was created using memories from childhood and then abstracted in order to stray from the literal. The stars in the room were created by the children in Teton county as a community engagement project.
FROM THE GROUND OUT
When connecting to Nature, it awakens our ability to access our uninhibited, playful, childlike selves. Embracing playfulness invigorates a cathartic feeling within us, allowing us to revisit our most hidden memories, our shames, our traumas. By tapping into our Mother (Nature), we are able to retrospectively analyze our inner workings and plant the seed for a process of healing to begin.
The movement in this film represents this journey for Luke Dakota.

BABY ASK
The movement created for this music video was largely informed by the notion of ones shadow self. The choreography explores the intricate work we must do in order to conquer and understand all parts of self. The musician was not a trained dancer which helped catalyze movement that was organic and free of western expectations of “dance”
